The Territory has the potential to be a leader in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) development, according to a recent study undertaken by Ernst & Young.
The study investigated opportunities for the Territory to leverage its abundant natural resources and strategic proximity to Southeast Asian markets to competitively participate in this growing industry.
It found that for the Territory, global decarbonisation is an economic opportunity – with biofuels and hydrogen technologies currently representing the most feasible pathways for SAF industry development in the Territory.
